Essentials for the Christian Life, by Adam Landers.
Cost: Free. Room S202.
The concept of having the mark of discipleship is deeply rooted in the teachings of Jesus and the New Testament writings. It refers to the distinguishing characteristics and behaviors that identify a true follower of Christ. These marks are not merely external signs but are deeply embedded in the believer's life, reflecting a transformation that aligns with the teachings and example of Jesus. In John 14:15 , Jesus states, "If you love Me, you will keep My commandments." This obedience is not legalistic but is a response to the love and grace received from Christ. It involves a commitment to live according to the teachings of the Bible, seeking to embody the principles of the Kingdom of God in everyday life. In the Essentials for the Christian Life course we will cover the fundamentals of the Christian faith. You are called to be a disciple of Christ. My hope is that you will develop an understanding of those essential concepts that we cover and incorporate them into a more meaningful walk with Christ. However, it does not stop there. You are also called to disciple others. The goal of this course is to take what you learn and fulfill your role as a disciple of Christ and ultimately become an effective disciple maker.
Church History, Part I,
led by Brian Schneider & Greg Rogers
Cost: $15. Room: S104.
Have you ever wondered what happened to the Church after the death of the last Apostle in 90 A.D.? Wondered how we got the Bible? Wondered why we practice our faith the way we do? Why do we believe the way we do? Then this is the class for you! This fall, MZBC will be hosting a Wednesday night study entitled “Church History,” with Part 1 in the fall and Part 2 in the spring. Part 1 looks at the early church from 90 A.D. to 1500 A.D. (the Protestant Reformation, in case you forgot). Part 2 will take us from 1500 to today. The cost will be $15 to cover the cost of the book. So, bring your questions and your curiosity and let’s walk through Church History together.
The Book of Psalms, led by Dr. George Foust

Please join us as we continue in this in-depth study through the book of Psalms! This is an ongoing Bible study.
